MUTA states stand
An emergency GBM of the Manipur University Teachers' Assn (MUTA) convened today at the lecture hall of Political Science Department resolved to appeal to the MU authority to furnish an unambiguous clarification concerning the issue of fake pur-chases giving details of the fund withdrawal. It also sought a definit clarification on allega-tions levelled against four Heads of Depart-ments by July 7, con-veyed a MUTA release. After deliberating on the alleged ambiguous letter sent by the Vice-Chancellor on July 4, MUTA resolved to urge the MU authority to publicise its clarification as in the case of the proceedings of the meeting of HoDs and Deans on June 8 and the press statement made on June 16 with copies endorsed to the four Heads of Deptts concerned. It unani-mously resolved to continue with the ongoing noncoopera-tion stir. The meeting concluded with a decision to convene another meeting on July 9 to review develop-ments and discuss further line of action, added the release.
